Structure and composition of injection mould

There are many types of injection moulds, and in many different kinds of moulds, the most common is the two-plate mold. Because its design is relatively simple, the manufacturing cost is also the lowest, but the more complex mold of the two-plate mould is also often used, because their use can simplify the flow path design of parts or improve the appearance of parts. According to the different roles of various parts in the mold, a set of injection mold can be divided into the following parts:

1, molding parts. A part that gives shape, structure, and size to the forming material, usually consisting of a core (punch), a concave mold cavity, and a threaded core, insert, etc.

2. Pouring system. It is a channel that leads the molten plastic to the closed mould cavity by the injector nozzle, which is usually composed of the main channel, the diverter channel, the gate and the cold feed well.

3, guide parts. In order to ensure that the moving die and the fixed die can be accurately aligned when the guide part is set up, which plays a guiding positioning role, it is composed of a guide column and a guide sleeve, and some moulds are also set on the ejector plate to ensure that the release mechanism is stable and reliable.

4. Release mechanism. The most commonly used ejection mechanism, such as ejection rod, ejection pipe, roof and pneumatic ejection, is generally composed of ejection rod, reset rod, slingshot, ejection rod fixed plate, roof (top ring) and roof guide column/guide sleeve.

5. Core pulling mechanism. For the plastic parts with side holes or side concave, before being ejected, it is necessary to pull the core or separate the slider (side parting) to successfully release the mold.

6, mold temperature adjustment system. In order to meet the requirements of injection molding process for mold temperature, it is necessary to have a mould temperature adjustment system (such as cooling water, hot water, hot oil and electric heating system, etc.) to adjust the mould temperature device.

7. Exhaust system. In order to discharge the gas in the cavity smoothly, the exhaust groove is often set up at the parting surface of the mold, and the gap between the push rod or other moving parts of the mold (such as: slider) can also play the role of exhaust.

8, other structural parts. It refers to the parts set up to meet the requirements of the mold structure (such as: fixed plate, moving/fixed template, stay head, supporting plate and connecting screws, etc.).
